Chain O’Lakes Fireworks Fund Ingleside, IL , November 1, 2010: The Chain O’Lakes Fireworks Fund Committee is thrilled to announce a new location for the July 2011 Fireworks. In an effort to make the fireworks visible to a larger number of homeowners and boaters, the Fireworks Committee has moved the fireworks to a location in the center of Fox Lake. This location will open up the viewing to a majority of the homeowners on Fox Lake as well as enable many more boats to anchor safely while viewing the fireworks. The Chain O’Lakes Fireworks Fund is a 501C(4) Not for Profit Corporation and was formed in 2008 to maintain the tradition of fireworks over the water on the Chain O’Lakes. This tradition was threatened at the end of 2007 when the longstanding volunteer organizer retired . The Chain O’Lakes Fireworks Fund was organized to fill the void and To Keep The Spark Alive. It is a volunteer run organization that depends solely on individual and business donations to present the annual fireworks show. Throughout the spring and early summer events are scheduled to raise the necessary funds. Each $1,000 raised will buy one minute of show time and the committee has an goal of $35,000 for the 2011 show. Donations can be made at any time at http://www.keepthesparkalive.com/Donate.html. The Chain O’Lakes/Fox River is the busiest inland recreational waterway per acre in the entire United States. With over 7,100 acres of water, 15 lakes and 45 miles of river.
